Zebra Child Protection Center

A first of its kind in Canada, the Zebra Child Protection Centre is a not-for-profit organization that, through partnerships with police, judicial and government services, gives children a safe place to tell an adult about concerning events in their lives. Zebra contacted Acrodex to help procure and install FTR digital interview recording technology to accurately capture interviews with children, giving investigators more reliable, efficient recordings.

 The Cornwall police service is comprised of 88 law enforcement officers, 45 civilians including special constables, and is constantly adapting to give the citizens of Cornwall the quality of policing they deserve. The service’s use of advanced tools and equipment, combined with an experienced and professional team, has contributed towards a significant clearance rate and efficiency.

AADAC ASIST project

Alberta Health Service’s Addictions and Mental Health section offers tens of thousands of treatments and activities to clients each year.  Every consultation or treatment requested by a client must be securely and accurately captured. Addictions and Mental Health was using a solution with several critical limitations and the Acrodex solution allowed staff to repair existing problems and make the system more intuitive for users.

Alberta Education

The Learning Technologies Branch of the Alberta Ministry of Education, responsible for the design and development of digital learning resources to support program delivery in Alberta’s educational institutions, required a highly available and scalable solution to describe, catalogue and search digital learning objects and deliver them online to students, teachers and parents.
Acrodex developed the LearnAlberta website (www.learnalberta.ca), a centralized online portal enabling students, teachers and parents to find multimedia learning resources that are correlated to specific courses of program of study.

NorQuest College

Acrodex managed and implemented the institutional integration of NorQuest College with the Alberta Post Secondary Application System, after the Alberta Government passed legislation in 2005 requiring institutions to switch to the web-based information and application system to provide students with easier access to essential
information, services and admission to Alberta’s colleges, universities and technical institutes.

Workers' Compensation Board

As they invested in custom applications within an off-host, distributed environment the Workers’ Compensation Board was becoming increasingly complex, making the need for effective application system management architectures and guidelines highly apparent. Acrodex developed the Application Instrumentation Framework (AIF), a utility application that runs in the background to capture and log appropriate application event data such as start/end times, server/device name, etc. This solution offered WCB with a consistent view of metrics and historical data for events occurring within the instrumented applications.
