Acrodex Awarded Government of Alberta Desktop Management Contract
In
March Acrodex was awarded a seven-year contract to manage and
standardize IT desktop services with the Government of Alberta. "As one
of the largest IT solutions providers in Canada, we are pleased to
support the Alberta Government in ensuring that its computer systems
operate effectively, regardless of location," said Acrodex President
Yasmin Jivraj (pictured with Acrodex CEO Karim Amarshi).

Acrodex Ranks #8 on CDNs Top 100 Solution Providers List
As
part of its annual list of top 100 Canadian IT Solution Providers,
Computer Dealer News (CDN) ranked Acrodex in the No. 8 spot for its 2009
edition, released in April. The rankings listed the Top 100 highest
revenue-generating solution providers with major operations in Canada.
Lois Hole Hospital for Women
Royal

Acrodex is a proud sponsor of the new Lois Hole Hospital for women, and in April attended a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new facility. A conference room on the fourth floor now carries the Acrodex name.
Haiti Earthquake Relief Donation
In May, Acrodex received a Red Cross report detailing work being done in Haiti, and specifically how the company’s $10,000 donation was being used to provide humanitarian assistance.
ISO Certification
In May Acrodex announced it had successfully received the ISO 9001:2008 registration for its Quality Management System. Achieving this certification helps Acrodex establish a process of continuous quality improvement, which in turn leads to improved internal processes and increased customer satisfaction.
Acrodex Wins Microsoft Operational Excellence Award

In July, Microsoft awarded Acrodex with a Microsoft Operational Excellence award – Acrodex’s sixth time wining the honour. Winners were chosen from a pool of more than 31 entrants in the US and Canada. The award-winners were announced during the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Washington, D.C. |

Acrodex Provides Flood Relief to Pakistan
In September, following a series of floods that devastated Pakistan and
affected 20 million people, Acrodex donated $50,000 in humanitarian aid
in September. Acrodex’s donations was included in those matched by the
Canadian Government.

Acrodex Takes Home Silver at CDN Channel Elite Awards

Computer Dealer News (CDN) named Acrodex's project to provide
centralized desktop management services for the Province of Alberta as
its silver medal-winner in the Best Enterprise Solution category at the
Channel Elite Awards gala in Toronto on Sept. 16.
Introducing INSS: Acrodex’s Integrated Networking and Security Solutions Group
In November, Acrodex interviewed newly appointed INSS manager Don
Abraham to discover the hot-button issues surrounding networking and
security in the IT world, and to explore Acrodex’s capabilities in these
fields.

Unified Communications
Unified
Communications is a technology that continues to capture the
imagination of businesses of all sizes across the country. In 2010
Acrodex expanded its UC practice across Canada, and Practice Lead Laurie
Shaw was named national director for its operations. Learn more about
